For the seventh year, VOSS Automotive, Inc., exhibited its expertise at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) in Louisville, Ky., as a market leader in fuel, coolant and SCR line and connection technology.
The preeminent annual event for the heavy-duty trucking industry, MATS 2015 hosted more than 1,000 exhibitors and was attended by 81,768 individuals, including OEMs, suppliers and the general public. VOSS was well represented with a team that included colleagues from VOSS Germany and VOSS Mexico to meet with key customers, develop new business opportunities and explore the latest technologies revealed at the show.
VOSS’ new quick connect system 246NX, an improvement on the industry standard quick connect system 246, was on display in three commercial truck product application boards:
- SCR system with the electrically-heated 246NX variant
- Coolant lines and components
- Fuel system components
When it comes to connecting, positioning and releasing, customers instantly noticed the distinct insertion “click” and the convenience of the retaining element which can be rotated to eight different positions for space limitation adaptability.
While “Connected Truck” technology was a recurring theme at the show, weight reduction and fuel economy improvement initiatives were also prominent.
Maintaining its position as a technological leader, “VOSS is developing new plastic technology that can withstand extended pressures and temperatures to support the next-generation of fluid management systems,” said Ryan Short, Technical Director, VOSS Automotive, Inc.
VOSS plastic “tees” for sensor integration and VOSS flow-stop adapters to eliminate fuel leaks were frequently demonstrated along with the industry’s best-in-class quick connect system 232, which is used around the world to eliminate air leakage.
The VOSS booth also highlighted recent supplier awards – Navistar Diamond Supplier Award and Daimler Trucks North America Masters of Quality Award – emphasizing its commitment to quality and a successful, customer- focused 2014.
As the 2015 trade show season progresses, look for VOSS to continue developing new products to support customer improvement initiatives, deliver on plastic tube innovations for reducing weight, optimize quick connectors to support more stringent diagnostics, and simplify assembly line effort.
