Last week, VOSS Automotive, Inc., leaders broke ground on the new production plant in Mexico. The new plant is just one way VOSS is further developing its North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) manufacturing strategy. This project will be completed throughout the next 10 months.
“Just five years ago, we were renting a facility,” said Jesus Navarro, General Manager, VOSS Automotive Mexico. “Now, we’re building our own plant, which we will move into in Feb. 2017.”
The plant will be fully operational in April 2017. This aggressive timeline is another way VOSS is showing its commitment to NAFTA.
VOSS purchased nearly 10 acres of land in Industrial Park, located in the municipality of Arteaga, in Coahuila, Mexico. Employees at the 148,000-square-foot plant will manufacture an extensive portfolio of products for the NAFTA market.
