Q: In your own words, what do you do at VOSS Automotive?
A: I receive requirements from our customers, and it's my job to provide them with a solution that best meets their needs, as well as keeps the best interests of VOSS in mind.
Q: What is your area of expertise?
A: My expertise is in cooling and exhaust systems.
Q: Can you give a brief history on your background/career?
A: I began my career in 2008 at Navistar as a design development engineer working in the powertrain group. After 5 years in the powertrain group, I worked for 2 years in the exhaust systems group. In April 2015, I began my current job as a development engineer at VOSS.
Q: Why did you choose to go into your profession?
A: I've always enjoyed tearing things apart and putting them back together to understand how they work. I also enjoy trying to figure out how to design solutions to different problems. Coupling these enjoyments with a way to earn a good living was a major contributor towards my choice of a profession.
Q: When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: I've always wanted to be a mechanical engineer.
Q: What is the best piece of career advice you've ever received?
A: The best piece of advice I've received is, "Don’t worry about it too much. There is always tomorrow."
Q: What motivates you at work?
A: Being able to provide for my family is my biggest motivation.
Q: What's one thing you can't work without?
A: My computer, of course!
Q: If you could master one thing in life, what would it be?
A: If I could master one thing in life, it would be stock trading.
