A: Miguel Angel Gonzalez Delgado

Q: In your own words, what do you do at VOSS Automotive?
A: I lead the tool shop that manufactures forming tools and fabricates new assembly gauges, and I coordinate production tool maintenance as needed. I also help develop new processes at VOSS Automotive Mexico (VAM), like the new port-to-port process.

Q: What is your area of expertise?
A: I am in charge of tool fabrication, developing and improving the forming and assembly process, and the implementation of any new processes required as we diversify our product types.

Q: Can you give a brief history on your background/career?
A: I have 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, working in companies like Toyota, Mahale and Martinrea. My main responsibilities have been as a prototype and manufacturing engineer. I also worked in the quality area as a Quality Engineer Chief.

Q: Why did you choose to go into your profession?
A: I have always been interested in solving problems, developing new or better ways to do things and designing new tools. My career has offered me this challenge.

Q: When you were 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A: When I was younger, I wanted to be an inventor. I would imagine all sorts of items that could solve different problems I saw.

Q: What is the best piece of career advice you've ever received?
A: "Always try again; never give up!"

Q: What motivates you at work?
A: My family is my best motivation ever!

Q: What's one thing you can't work without?
A: Challenges make all of this fun. They help me think outside the box and allow me to imagine new or better ways to do things.

Q: If you could master one thing in life, what would it be?
A: The ability to teach my kids how to be the greatest person they can be.

Q: What's your educational background?
A: I have a degree in industrial engineering.
